WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY ?
The goal of osteopathy is to put back into motion the structures of the body (bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, tendons, viscera, skull) which are in restrictions. The relaxation of tension promotes the circulation of blood, lymphatic and cerebrospinal fluid, which improves the metabolic exchange of the body.
The principles of osteopathy are based on the globality, the interrelation between each system of the body. Interrogation and tests inform the osteopath about the origin of tensions and blockages that restrict the mobility of different tissues, as well as the consequences on the body. Osteopathic techniques are innumerable. The osteopath adapts to each person and does each time a unique treatment, depending on the condition of the client.
Our global therapeutic approach is based on science in its own right, such as anatomy, biomechanics, embryology, physiology and pathology. Today, 5 years of study are required to obtain a degree in osteopathy.
The originality of our method comes from the fact that it does not interpose any instrument between the practitioner and his client. We make our hand a real investigative tool. Like a watchmaker who checks, after the wheels, what can put the watch out, we use all the potentialities of our hand for, adjustment after adjustment, to restore harmony and smooth operation. Going beyond the symptom, we are interested in the history of the body, its most ancient traumas, which will sometimes go unnoticed.
